Lloyd L. Davis, 57, lifetime resident of Fountain County, died while undergoing surgery at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. He entered the hospital Thursday. Mr. Davis was born May 25, 1903 to Nelson and Zitorha Knowles Davis. Surviving are the widow, Bertha Brooks Davis; a son, Ray; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McMurtrie; a brother, Huber Davis and 9 grandchildren. Mr. Davis was employed as a meat cutter at Liberty Market north of Danville. Mr. Davis was the son-in-law of Ms. Cora Brooks. Those attending the funeral on Sunday from here were Mrs. Cora Brooks and Clyde and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Stockwell and family. Burial in Osborn Prairie Cemetery.

Funeral services for Lloyd L. Interment was in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery with the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Davis was born May 25, 1903, to Nelson and Zithorha Knowles Davis.
